Cinquain~

Hey guys! Well, this is my first post for my Literature Learning Log. And do take note, this is Izzuddin from 2 Respect. You guys can call me Izz. Basically, I'm gonna talk about our lesson on Cinquain. Well, the first time I heard it, I have no idea what it was. Mainly because I was absent during the lesson. After asking my friends what is it about, I found out it was a poem! That's unexpected! I thought it was a Chinese type of thing. No offence to the Chinese but it does sound like a Chinese thing. But who knows it turned out to be a poem! Well, basically, it's a 5-line poem. But there is a unique arrangement for this poem. This is the arrangement:
First line: Noun
Second line: TWO Adjectives

Third line: THREE Gerunds
Forth line: A complete sentence
Fifth line: A synonym to replace the noun in the first line
Yes, it is a little bit confusing. But hey, it's a Cinquain after all. Well, I kinda get the hang of it at first. Until when it comes to the third line. I was wondering, "What's a GERUND?!" After HOURS(actually minutes) of research, I find out that Gerund is actually an "-ing" form of an English word when used as a noun. Yeah, you might be wondering, how come I do not know what Gerund is? Well, let's just say that English and Izzuddin doesn't go well with each other. And second, WHAT'S A SYNONYM?! Hmm.... It is actually a word which have the same or NEARLY the same meaning as the other word...... IN THE SAME LANGUAGE. Told you I didn't get along with English. Well, that's it for this post. I hope you guys are entertained! See you guys on the next post! Izz, signing off! HAHA! Seriously, BYE!!
