MACBETH

Hey guys! I'm back! Well, I feel so fresh after the MCsssss. Basically, our previous lesson is about Macbeth. We were given THREE questions. 1) What is Macbeth about? 2) Pick a favourite character. Justify. 3) What can You learn from "Macbeth"(referring to the story)

SO, first question - What is Macbeth about?
Basically, it is about a general in the army of King Duncan named Macbeth. He actually was influenced by his wife to murder King Duncan as The THREE WITCHES said that Macbeth will become king. In the end, yes he did became king. But his followers does not like him. In the end, Macbeth was killed and his wife died of madness.

Second question - Pick a favourite character. Justify.
Frankly saying, I kinda like Macbeth. It's because he is one brave fella. He is loyal to his king...... Until his wife influenced him. If his wife did not influenced, he would have been a good man. And a GREAT king too.

Third question - What can You learn from "Macbeth"?
I can learn that in my life, I need to let nature take it's own course. I should not force things to happen. If it is meant to happen, it WILL happen. If it is not, then sadly, it WON'T happen. I should also not be greedy and try to be patient if I know something good or something I want will happen. I should also not do things, especially BAD and NEGATIVE things so that it will happen.

Macbeth! YAY!

Hah. Greetings and salutations. In the previous lesson, Miss Malyanah summarised for us, the Act 1 Scene 2 of MACBETH. Here's how it goes:
King Duncan met the captain who was from the war. The captain told Kind Duncan about the war. In the war, Macdonwald got defeated by Macbeth(YAY! No? Nevermind) Suddenly, a new enemy emerged. It was the NORWEGIAN King. What a wimp. He attacked Macbeth when Macbeth and his armies were weak! HAH! That's not so brave. Anyways, Macbeth won the second war! YAY! Serves them right! After losing, the Norwegian King wanted a treaty. He has to pay $10, 000 to bury his men. It is actually a complete dishonour if You are not able to bury your own men who fought hard for You. So, the Norwegian King has no choice but to pay $10, 000.

That's it! From my point of view, Respect and Honour is important in wars. Until next time, BYE!

True or False?

Well, recently we discussed about SUPERSTITIONS. Wow. Well, at first I kinda don't know what it means. But, after Miss Malyanah(unlike some boring teachers, she's AWESOME and NOT boring) gave us some examples, I jolly well know what it was about! I was told that we need to think about some questions and post it here! And the questions are......(Make sure to read it in a deep voice! Like the movie trailer guy!) *drum roll*

1)Has there ever been a time in your life when someone told you that something improbable would happen and it did?

2)Did the fact that the event was "predicted" cause you to behave differently that you would have otherwise and make it more likely for the event to occur?

3)Or did the event simple seem to occur without any audience from you?

Well actually, yes, someone did actually predicted something improbable would happen, but NO, it didn't happen. It's nothing big actually. It's about school. When I was in Primary 3, my maths teacher told me, "You will get a Band 1/an A in Your Final Year Mathematics exam." Well, who wouldn't feel happy right?! To get a Band 1/an A in Maths?! That's a dream come true! Basically, I USED TO be a hardworking person. Well, I got band 1s/As when I was in Primary 1 and 2. But, that happens because I studied. But after hearing what my teacher said, I kinda got cocky and started to slack. ALOT. Well, I didn't do my homework and I wouldn't pay attention in class. To me, it's like, "I'm already smart? So why study?" Yeah, that was how cocky I WAS. So yeah, IT WAS ALL THE TEACHER'S FAULT! Nah, I'm just kidding. But what the teacher "predicted", made me cocky. So, the "predicted" event DID made me behave differently. To cut a long story short, I didn't study for my Maths. Instead of getting a Band 1/an A, I failed. Yes, it was my FIRST fail. I was in despair(good vocabulary huh? XD) Well, I told my dad everything that happened(including the "prediction", and surprisingly, I did NOT get a scolding. My dad only nagged and advised me. Phew! Yeah, that's my story. I apologise for not having those dramatic ones. Like getting hit by a car(seriously?) or something. See You in the next post! This is Izz, signing off! BYE!

Cinquain~

Hey guys! Well, this is my first post for my Literature Learning Log. And do take note, this is Izzuddin from 2 Respect. You guys can call me Izz. Basically, I'm gonna talk about our lesson on Cinquain. Well, the first time I heard it, I have no idea what it was. Mainly because I was absent during the lesson. After asking my friends what is it about, I found out it was a poem! That's unexpected! I thought it was a Chinese type of thing. No offence to the Chinese but it does sound like a Chinese thing. But who knows it turned out to be a poem! Well, basically, it's a 5-line poem. But there is a unique arrangement for this poem. This is the arrangement:
First line: Noun
Second line: TWO Adjectives

Third line: THREE Gerunds
Forth line: A complete sentence
Fifth line: A synonym to replace the noun in the first line
Yes, it is a little bit confusing. But hey, it's a Cinquain after all. Well, I kinda get the hang of it at first. Until when it comes to the third line. I was wondering, "What's a GERUND?!" After HOURS(actually minutes) of research, I find out that Gerund is actually an "-ing" form of an English word when used as a noun. Yeah, you might be wondering, how come I do not know what Gerund is? Well, let's just say that English and Izzuddin doesn't go well with each other. And second, WHAT'S A SYNONYM?! Hmm.... It is actually a word which have the same or NEARLY the same meaning as the other word...... IN THE SAME LANGUAGE. Told you I didn't get along with English. Well, that's it for this post. I hope you guys are entertained! See you guys on the next post! Izz, signing off! HAHA! Seriously, BYE!!
